The History of Barnes-Bollinger Insurance Services Inc.

Barnes-Bollinger Insurance Services, Inc. has its root in Carroll County of the 1930's. It's not only a local firm, it is the result of the enduring efforts of two local families.  The Barnes side of the business was started in the early 1930's by Truman B. Cash, later joined by John R. Barnes. Wayne Barnes acquired the agency in 1983. Edward O. Bollinger entered the insurance field in 1939. After serving four years in the military during World War II, he continued with his own agency. His sons, Mark and Dave, joined him in the 1970's.

The two agencies merged in January 1, 1984, forming the current firm, Barnes-Bollinger Insurance Services, Inc. While truly a family business, it is one that is keenly tuned to the ever changing needs of Carroll County. The agents are actively involved in the community and personally know most of their clients. Barnes-Bollinger is the most capable of serving all of your insurance needs.
